1x Male Alexandrine Parrot
Since I got my Alexandrine parrot, Tach (5 months ago), I've been getting mentally stuck on exactly WHAT I can give him in regards to flower heads/stalks/leaves/branches for eating and stripping. I just cant seem to get my head around it! Maybe because there is a) very little specific info online about it, and b) conflicting info.

Im working myself into a worried little frenzy and panicking over how to make sure everything I give him is A-OK for him. For example, apparently I can give him Marigold flowers .. but does this also mean he can have the stem and leaves too? Or ONLY the flower head snipped off from the rest of the plant? This is the main question thats been confusing me.

Sprouting seeds is a great idea, but my parrot LOVES tiny plants rather then just wet seeds, so I need to find out which seeds are safe to grow on further into tiny plants for him to munch. Also, sprouted seeds are obviously safe to eat, but as they grow and turn into a tiny plant, do you then have to remove the original seed before feeding the plant? Like, wheat grass, he LOVES it, but do I always have to remove the wheat berry thats its grown from? Has the seed gone 'bad' for him whilst growing? What about the roots coming out of the wheat berry? Are those safe? What about tiny sunflower seed plants!?

I wish there was more info online about exactly what people feed and have been feeding for years (and found no problems), yes I've searched here but again, conflicting info, and not enough info on the whole plant (just the leaves safe? flowers safe too? etc). I just so so so wish there was a master list of which parts of which plants are safe for which parrots.

NB: Yes I do suffer from some rather serious anxiety disorders, having someone just tell me exactly what I can give him would be lovely!
