So I am in the middle of making another enormous batch of chop, started yesterday soaking the beans, cooked them this morning and made the brown rice and quinoa. I had lots of great fruits and veggies on hand but I needed a few unrelated stuff at the store. Being I love produce I can never go in without taking a look-see.:32: They had organic red grapes, a big package of them normally 4.99 now the rule is I wouldn't give my birds anything I wouldn't eat myself but these were starting to look wrinkly meaning in a day or two they would be throwing them all away so I found the best of them all and asked if they could be reduced? Yep, got them for 1.60 since they will be put in chop and frozen today no problem! :D

Sounds like an excellent bargain. It certainly does not hurt to ask. Your fids will be appreciative.

Most produce folks I know are the nicest people - they would rather things not go to waste, too! When I had my bunny, if people broke the tops off carrot bunches and left them sitting there, my produce guy at one store would set them aside for me!
