Nuts online

Quick question-

Does anyone here buy nuts in the shell online, or perhaps a nut mix for parrots? There is no place to buy nuts locally unless it's Christmas time. All I've found so far is nuts.com, but I'd wondering if anyone buys a specific parrot mix or shops at a different place. Thanks in advance.

Mysafebirdstore also offers in-the-shell nuts I believe... At least walnuts last time I checked. I get mine at the grocery store- they sell them bulk in the produce section

Thanks for answering, I know it sounds like a dumb question but our area has nothing available at all. That's what I get for living in the middle of nowhere I guess There's one stoplight in the whole county, ugh.

I'll check out their selection, I don't know why I haven't started shopping there yet anyway.

We've always ordered from nuts.com. MSBS is excellent and I wouldn't have any problem ordering from them, but I can't see why you'd need a parrot specific blend. Human grade in whatever nuts you want works fine.

Do you have a local "health food store".?

Some times I get nuts in the shell at the farmers market.
Also have seen them online at Dr. Smith and Foster's

Perhaps travel into a bigger city near by? Such as Chicago, Peoria, etc. Otherwise there's plenty of vendors online. But I like to purchase certain items in person, this is one of them.

Thanks everyone, everywhere is a bit of a drive from here. No health food stores close by that carry nuts with shells. We basically have to drive 30 minutes to go shop at another small city that has a few more stores than our two little stores. Fields and some woods as far as the eye can see-cows...corn...stand of trees-repeat that pattern a few times and you'll get the general layout of my area. Peoria is about an hour or so drive one way. Chicago is at least 4 hours away. Middle of nowhere here so I find it easier to shop for my bird supplies online and I spend way to much time popping in on this forum

I'll probably go ahead and order from nuts.com I guess, although I did see some goodies I might buy from my safe bird store for Sailor and Tazzy when I run low on Goldenfeast. It looks like their blends are full of very similar things. Does anyone here buy their food from MSBS? Do you think it's as good?

Just got my order from Nuts.com . I can't say enough nice things about it. Fresh Well packaged. They included a bag of Organic Quinoa.
I am really happy with the order. And the shipping did not kill me LOL

We used to use them a lot and always had good service from them. Glad it worked out.

I just placed an order there and I'm waiting for it to arrive. Good to know others are having good experiences with them! [emoji4]
