But I make my on doggie cookies for our dogs, all natural, using only whole wheat flour, NO sugar, but honey or agave, (but don't really have to use it) and I use the carrot pulp and celery pulp from juicing, or shredded apples and coconut oil, egg and milk.....would these be ok to feed to a Macaw also? It would be the perfect size for her to hold.....I have one of those doggie cookie machines, that work like a waffle maker....I let them dry out a little for crunchiness.....I could probably replace with cornmeal......if that would be better.....any suggestions much appreciated.

I would try to avoid dairy products in treats made for birds just because their digestive system isn't quite made to efficiently handle lactose. Otherwise the ingredients sound pretty awesome! The eggs make for excellent protein, but a lot of protein can encourage breeding/egg laying behaviour, so I'd monitor the ratio or amount you have per treat.

And doggie cookie machine?!? Sign me up! That's super beat!
