8 year-old second-hand Alexandrine Parakeet Buddy (aka Baby, aka Ms. Prissy Beak)
baby isn't the best at eating her fresh veggies so I made a birdy quiche:

all measures are appoximate, make it up as you go!

two eggs: beatten with the shell
1/4 cup chopped tomato
1/4 cup crushed pellets
1/4 cup shredded carrot
1/4 cup corn kernals
1/4 cup chopped swiss-chard
tablespoon +/- shredded cheese
tiny pinch salt
generous dash of cyenne pepper
generous dash of ground black pepper

combine all ingredients in a small oven-safe bowl or pan, bake at 325 for about 15-20 minutes

serve a bird-appropriate scoop cool or slightly warm with a splash of orange juice on top!

Both my birds are rehomed rescues. Samantha, Umbrella Cockatoo (HD: 2002)
Lucky, B&G Macaw (HD: 1990-ish?)
Thanks. It inspired me to whip something up, though not quite as complex. I mixed some egg beaters, salt and pepper, cheese and some salsa. My macaw loves it! The Cockatoo won't touch it (I figured as much...she only likes sweets).

I bought a parrot cook book from Phoenix Landing and it will blow your mind with all the ideas in there. Plus lots of education on nutrition. If your a mind to it is on the web site.
