Harry & Toon don't want to eat their seed mix.
It is necessary that they do?
They want actually just pellets, and the food that I make for them.....such as chops, fruits, birdybread and so one.

They always have a bowl with fresh seed mix, but they don't even look at it.
And I always buy the best seed-mix for them.
Most parrots love sunflower seeds, but Harry & Toon don't.
I always need a lot of seed mix throw away.......

In my eyes no problem. Seed provides the least nutrition anyway. Sunflower seeds are very fatty and need to be used sparingly.

You are living the dream! Although there is some merit to a wide spectrum Seed, Grain, Nut, etc... mix. They are commonly off-set by an inclusive mix of Fresh Foods. Just ensure that your Fresh Foods represent the majority of what you are providing /they eating.

When I bake, I sometimes mix some seed into birdie bread, or when I make crackers kind of like avicakes.

You can also use up the seed by sprouting it and see if they like it that way! Also healthier.

Thank you that you are so helpful.
Now I know I don't have to worry they don't eat seedmix.
They eat very varied vegetables, fruit and so on.
Nuts too. .... except peanuts. They don't like them ...... but I know peanuts are not good for a parrot.
They also have gravel at their disposal.
Monday I'm going to the petstore to buy seeds for sprouting.
I think they like that and are going to eat it.

Why not use up that seed you have first? It's all good for sprouting really.

Thanks Aquila :)

Quinoa is definitely a favorite for my birdies as well, glad they like it!
