So Salty has dry pellets available to his all day, but he rarely touches them, except before bed time, when he uses them as a sort of bed time snack. Tonight, I mixed up some pellets with his nightly chop ( this weeks flavor - HOT. Kale Romain lettuce, carrots, and red and orange peppers and jalapeno, habenero and ghost peppers) and after they had soaked a bit, because my chop always comes out wet from the freezer, he chowed down on them!
The friggin chop is so hot, I have to remember to clean his beak and footies off , or Daddy will get nasty hot juice in his eyes or worse, on something else. Can you say Hot Johnson?
On a different note, my welcome home was fun. All Salty wanted to do is play, play play. Rough housing and peek a boo, which has become his favorite play exercise. And showed off his new words, Daddy and Hello Geri, and Tinker, and a bit of singing. LOL, almost as fun as when my kids were little, meeting me at the door! Oh, and allowing me to give hom scratchies... that's been a nice part of his Welcome Home routine. Geri was getting jealous, so I scratched her under her chim and neck too. She talks , too. "When are you paying bills?" and " Jesus, the trash is getting ripe. How about taking it out?" and look at that! No training was needed!
