Gloria, BFA, adopted on Jan. 9, 2016 when she was 30 years old
. Her mom went to a nursing home.
Also have 2 cats (Rangerand Luna) and a 24 year old aquatic turtle, named Elvis.
I want to fix Gloria (BFA) some holiday treats. I was thinking of stringing some plain popcorn and cranberries for her--like I used to do for the outside birds. Is this a safe treat? I just pop plain popping corn in the microwave with no oil or salt and the cranberries are raw organic ones. If this is okay, what would be the best way to string them? On wire? cotton string?

Thanks!:green:

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Mine love fresh raw cranberries when in season. They mostly peel the outer layer and eat the tiny seeds.

I too would like some advice as to the relative safety of cranberries. Organic is sourced when available, and thoroughly soaked/rinsed about 7 or 8 times with fresh water.

Yes! Raw cranberries are safe and birds seem to love them. Be warned, there may be some red in their poo after eating them. Not dangerous, it's just the color from the cranberries passing through, same as many berries will do:)

Thanks! We see the red poop with pomegranate as well--plus all the platters!
