maxx eats all the time.
he seems to always have something
he is grinding away on. he is also turned into the
biggest mooch out of the bunch. he found a bag of Resees chips
on the counter and really enjoyed a couple of those, now he is after the
cookie jar with the batch of pnut-butter cookies i just made.
also have yet to find anything he won't eat.
guess i got a good eater.

sound normal for a healthy bird?

DYH Amazon
Our DYH Amazon has food available all day, but does self-limit himself as his weight fluctuates within a consistent yearly variation.

Depending on what Maxx is eating (or just grinding) and how active can result in a steady weight or weight gain. It takes a gram scale to define whether you are faced with a problem.

Worms can be a problem and should be considered if Maxx is eating extensively and losing weight.

Some Parrots are just garage cans and will eat anything! Consider yourself lucky, based on the number of picky-eaters out there.

Fly free Plum, my gorgeous boy.
Sometimes think they eat instead of doing other stuff, a bit like us really. Try and engage him in foraging and playing, climbing etc a bit more and you might find he is eating less because he is busy. Too much is as bad as not enough.
