Hi! hope you having a wonderful day :white1:

I decided to get a umbrella or a moluccan cockatoo! before i decided! i researched a million times before getting a one.. and i learned so much about these lovely baby cockatoos

The only thing that i'm worried about is the parrot diets

1.So what to do you feed your cockatoo daily?? i know little about this..
- seeds? pellets? fruits? vegetables? but please tell me specifically like - in the morning ( Breakfast ) and ( dinner ) and for training ( treats )??

2. As for dinner they mix up food and cook them on hot water'' DAILY ''???? and what types of things? please explain as possible as you can ;)

3. a stupid question but! do i put everything in 1 bowl? like seeds-pellets vegetables fruits? or each one alone??

4. i was thinking getting everything by Zupreem products ''Fruit-blend'' ''Veggie-blend''? ''Nut-blend'' ''Pellets'' and seeds..? is that okay? HELP!

once again thank you so so much for your time! i really appreciate and sorry for my bad english! i'm trying my best ;)

Welcome and be welcomed. I am not a 'too person but we have many on here. You will develop your own schedule with your new cockatoo eventually. For my parrot, he gets 2 large meals a day - a late lunch whis is at least 2 kinds of fruit, and for dinner he gets chop ( a variety of veggies chopped up) and a small amount of seed. He has access to pellets all day anytime he wants them. THe seed should be a very small amount for your bird. And your English is fine, better then my Arabic or Swahili.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Welcome to the forums, your English is quite good and fully understandable!

I assume you are going to get or have gotten a baby or young cockatoo?
Hopefully it will be fully "weaned" (eating adult food on its own) before coming home! If so, a diet rich in vegetables and fruits is best, with some pellets and seeds. You will have to experiment and be patient as new foods are often ignored for a long while. My cockatoos enjoy many of the following: Sweet potatoes, yams, apple, orange, peas, pomegranate seeds, melon + seeds, edamame in the pod, various beans such as garbanzo, lima, black, kidney, and pinto, corn on the cob, (small amounts as it is not very nutritious) whole grain spiral noodles, etc.

The pellet of choice for my flock is ZuPreem fruit-blend. Others are a bit more natural and nutritious, but this is what they consistently accept. Small amounts of seed are welcomed and are helpful for training. I always feed one type of food at a time: vegetables and fruits during the mid-part of the day, how long depends on temperature. Pellets with some seeds are given later in the day and are available until early morning .
