So I was at the pet store and came across these Nutri-Pellets. I snatched them up and brought them home. I had Ollie try one and he LOVED it. Is this a food or treat do you think? I would love to be able to give them to him as not a treat but as a supplement to his food because they are super exciting for him.

I was actually going to ask about those because after looking though here I haven't seen them mentioned. I've been feeding them to Peanut because she won't eat the pellets, but she will eat the Nutri- Berries which are 30 percent pellets and 70 percent hulled seeds. So I've been feeding her those along with assorted fresh veggies, grains, beans and a little fruit.

Anyone else have anything to add about these? I don't quite get what you're trying to say plumsmum.

First ingredient is corn, second is soy! Neither of my favorites! I use TOPS.

But, I must add, I also use zupreem and Roudybush, both sparingly!
My JoJo also loves sprouted seeds! I use what TOPS carries and, his favorite, Abba seed soak!
I have four different feeding areas and JoJo expects certain foods in each spot!

Fly free Plum, my gorgeous boy.
They are a useful tool to help in the conversion to pellets and like David I like TOPS and Plum will now accept these. Go steady with Nutiberries etc they are calorific but they still have a place (certainly with me and Plum). Plum would only eat Cockatiel ones to start, think the parrot ones too hard initially or he was lazy? Use them as part of your feeding toolkit and not a fix-all.

@Sunnyclover They helped me to get Plum to accept pellets. As a confirmed seed lover they give him some of both.
