Can I feed raw sweet potato to my fids? if not, should I just bake it?

What about regular potatoes?

I am pretty sure that raw potatoes are not good.

you can bake, saute, microwave, mash, scallop, boil any kind of potato.

you can also dice and cook in microwave, add some frozen mixed veggies for a quick meal.

You can feed them raw, mashed, chunked.... any way they will eat them. And yotu WANT them to eat them. Sweet potatoes are birdie "super food" containing lots of goodies birdie utilize.. mainly beta keratin ... the precursor to vitamin A.. My birds have always eaten them, although getting them to try them can be hard. Sweet taters get a lil sweeter if cooked a bit. I wash mine and nuke em just until they start to get soft... cut them in chunks or slivers and feed it to them as a "goodie" or mixed in their chopped fresh foods which I feed daily.
Try them both cooked a lil...mashed...or raw. I've had birds that preferred the taste and texture different ways.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Most birds love sweet potatoes and yams. Always serve them cooked so I can enjoy them too!

They are best baked, but you can microwave them to save time if needed! Better to choose the long thinner ones to cook faster and more evenly.

Cooked sweet taters are a Salty favorite. He gets thm 1 or 2 x a month, and he devours them, but not the skins, I peel them off the cooked yam. Regular potatoes, no dtat, but I;ve never heard or read anythig good or bad about them. But the nutritional value of regual taters is retty low, even for peoples, like on the order of eating newspaper.

Kermit loves cooked sweet potatoes, but Ducky and Bluebell won't touch them. Some birds are just picky eaters.
