Try throwing some inducement in there. Seeds or coconut oil often works to just get the beak down in the bowl

All are rescues- had to leave their previous homes for 'reasons', are still in contact with them :)

I always feel that a good chop will make a great veggie soup stock. Salty likes his extra hot and spicey with almost a pound of habeneros and ghost peppers ,, so we have to tone it down when we use it. Once we figured out what and how he likes it, I make a 3 month supply, and change it up every 2-3 days with something else. Keep presenting it and if still is not acceptable, try putting it thru a food processer, and change the texture. Chunky style here means the favs get picked out and the rest not eaten or thrown away.

I do not enjoy eating yesterdays salad, so why would I think my bird would like it?

I put some Avicake in with the chop to dry it out a bit. Not much, like 1/2 a cube. Salty will bury his fce into his food cup then. And Avicake has vitamins in it so he is getting those too.

Oh, I so understand, sometimes the minutes just run off without you!
You are trying your best, but well birds will be birds...
(I do love yesterdays pastasauce and soups -> they always taste better the second day)

Im now scouring this for recipes!! I always go by the adage that if it looks appealing to us, itll appeal to them. And if worse comes to worse, grab a.spoon and let them think theyre stealing it from you!
