A mini chopper is your best friend. Going through sneaking veggies to toddlers, i learned a trick or two. I got my mini chopper out and ground down cauliflower, broccoli, and some carrot slices and made larger chunks of strawberries, pineapple, mangos and grapes and almonds. Hah! Romeo likes broccoli and cauliflower, Mochi likes fruits. So I have managed to appease both while getting a larger variety into them:)
The grocery store has precut fruit bowls for a single person, which 2 of those equals a weeks worth of fruit and veggies, just make sure you rinse them. Its a bit cheaper than buying a bunch of fruits and veggies for variety, only to have them go bad before the birdies eat them, if youre in a small household. Now to see if they like butternut squash!

Gloria, BFA, adopted on Jan. 9, 2016 when she was 30 years old
. Her mom went to a nursing home.
Also have 2 cats (Rangerand Luna) and a 24 year old aquatic turtle, named Elvis.
My BFA likes the smoothies I drink. I typically use a few fresh strawberries, some frozen mango, frozen banana, ginger, a lot of fresh spinach and water. I have a little dish that I put on her cage for foods like this. She loves it.

You can also make baked goods with chopped veggies.

I drink health shakes all the time.
I never offer them to Levi b/c in addition to ginger & turmeric I always add fresh garlic cloves.
After reading your post, I’m going to make one minus the garlic & see if he’ll try it.

Love my food processor & use it all the time.
Levi also is a carb-aholic. So, I make him a high protein pasta & the veggie pastas that they make today. But, overall he is a good healthy eater. Thank goodness. 🖤

I use my mini food processor daily to make chop for the birds.
Kermit likes larger chunks, while the other three prefer finely chopped veggies. Kermit absolutely LOVES crunchy vegetables like carrots, peppers, snap peas, cucumber, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, and celery. He’s not too crazy on the leafy greens though. The budgies will pick through everything without selecting what to eat, they like all of it. Ducky is more of a picky eater and prefers broccoli and lettuce, but she will eat small amounts of the other veggies as well.

I do the same for my flock's chop mix. Kale, brocolli and carrots are all very high in vitamin A. My budgies would nibble on the greens but Boomer just shreds them. So I throw in some raisins and corn in with the veggies in the food processor. I only need a few because they get ground up in the processor. This way, Boomer gets tempted to rummage through the chop. I asked my CAV if he will end up getting vitamin A from the veggie soaked raisin and corn bits, and he said they would. I also add cooked spiral pasta which further soaks up the juices.

I used to make bird bread with jiffy corn muffin mix, only id throw the shells in with the eggs as well, that did well for my macs. My amazon hated it! Lmao. But i liked it! Your smoothie mix sounds amazing. I used to have a ninja and my sisters kids fell in love with it so much. I left it there when i moved out. I definitely need to get a new one!

The single best way to get the Rb to eat ANYTHING? Cut into small bits and eat it myself. No faking, no spitting out, ya hafta chew it and swallow it.
I have also found that if my ol' man (who's a health nut and athlete, and actually LIKES this stuff!) eats it in front of the bird, the bird WANTS it for himself. Kinda a rivalry thing!
