so we found a way to make veggies fun... at least this works today, but that is better than nothing :51:

in my last online order I also got a Fruit and Veggie Skewer and I had to try it out today, I had nice fresh apples, chinese cabbage and a yellow pepper (I really ned to go veggie-shopping though) and she got a yellow skewer for a start...

Cairo the Ekkie!
We love using it too! Sunny looks adventurous, trying new things :) I feel like I'm not creative enough when setting up Cairo's :p But yours looks enticing!!

Sunny a female B&G macaw;
Japie (m) & Appie (f), both are congo african grey;
All are rescues- had to leave their previous homes for 'reasons', are still in contact with them :)
Yup, Japie and Appie do not like to hold veggies/ wet fruit etc. in the foot unless is is a really prized one. So the only way to make them eat ALL the veggies (well most of them) is to make them into toys - like you did. :)

I made a few larger immitations for macaw-Sunny, also nice. But she still freaks when things start moving- so it needs to be in a non-swinging place.

yup, apparently making it into a toy did help, she ate quite more than she normally would :D

she's an adventurous one and always wants to do stuff (though lately she just wants to nap a lot, probably due to the massive molt and implants), sadly I am more lazy haha and I lack ideas how to do something to make it more interesting for her... but this skewer was a hit today, now I just hope it stays like this too :p

Umbrella Cockatoo- 15? years old..I think?
I wish my Too liked mine the way yours does...She doesn't think it is very fun....Although I can sometimes use it as a toy holder for wood etc.
