Sunny the Sun Conure (sept '18, gotcha 3/'19). Mr Jefferson Budgie & Mrs Calliope Budgie (albino) (nov'18 & jan'19). Summer 2021 Baby Budgies: Riker (Green); Patchouli, Keye, & Tiny (blue greywings).
Turns out my Sun Conure really likes Green Beans. (Fresh, raw.) Like, a lot. Like a whole lot. Like, instant addiction. She's a little green-bean -junkie.

She's definitely Eating them. (Not just shredding.) Ijust wanna double check. Green Beans are Not a controlled substance for Conures, right? It's OK for a Sun to eat as MUCH green beans as she wants, right?

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
I don't see many problems with high consumption of green beans. Others may have a more scientific opinion based on vitamins and your species.

I've offered green beans to my flock and not one of them will eat a bite!

Umbrella Cockatoo- 15? years old..I think?
As long as she is getting enough nutrients from other things--- the risk of any high-fiber/low calorie vegetable is that your bird will fill up on it and fail to eat other foods that contain essential vitamins etc.

I agree with the replies...
My Rb likes green beans but loves green chiles even more, and they are more vitamin-rich. Maybe try them?

Good for you for looking into this.
