Hello,
My green cheek conure is probably the pickiest when it comes to veggies and fruits. I was reading a thread on here from a few years back and the person said that they mixed Abba Green into their water. I was wondering if anyone does this? If not, can anyone recommend something I can mix into her water that has a good amount of veggies/fruits? Thanks in advance.

Nooooooo. Never mix anything in the water. It starts to decay immediately and is a huge source of bacteria. Even those ā€œvitamin dropsā€ are nasty and dangerous.

How long have you had the bird? What methods have you tried so far?

I have had her for quite a while now. Iā€™m a big fruit and vegetable eater so Iā€™m always snacking on something and iā€™ve tried to offer her some while I am eating and she has no interest. Iā€™ve tried to put a few on top of her food or just in a bowl on her play-set and she never tries them out. She usually isnā€™t all over me when I am eating any type of food also so that makes it harder. Iā€™ve tried banana, apple, strawberry, blackberry, kiwi, pineapple, etc.

A crossover Quaker Scuti (F), A Sun conure named AC, A Cinnamon Green Cheek conure Kent, and 6 budgies, Scuti Jr. (f), yellow (m), clark Jr. (m), Dot (f), Zebra(f), Machine (m).
also if the get them wet and you feed them after midnight you get multiple gremlins.....

but what silver sage said just give pure water, and they can dunk as they wish....

as far as getting A CONURE to eat fruits and veggies, tell the conure they can't have them anymore....then eat them.

the conure will attempt murder to get to them then...make sure to pick conure up and move/push the bird away a lot.

it always works....

also complain a lot they aren't allowed, but fail in some of your attempts.....and make a colossal fuss when you fail to keep them from the fruits and veggies...I mean animated.....

We also disguise them as toys! Carrots make great perches, you can make colorful kabobs, etc.

Try chopping them up teeny tiny and mixing them with the regular food.

Try them warm

Try them shredded

Try them spiralized and woven through the bars.

Try feeding the regular food in meals and leaving only veggies out all day.

Try sprouts :) thatā€™s usually a great gateway!
