B&G Macaw, Galah, 5 cockatiels, 50 billion and a half budgies. We breed and do rescue. Too many to list each individual's name and age etc, but they are each individuals and loved dearly.
Freedom has an unbelievable love affair with all things red and saucy. She will throw the mother of all tantrums if you eat spaghetti, lasagna, or whatever red and gooey tomato sauce glazed noodly concoction where she can see and you don't share. Obviously, this is not the best for her so we have had to hide while eating such things.

Idea for making a version we could share with her guilt free:

Home made sauce with garden fresh tomatoes. Add calcium carbonate to titrate the ph to closer to neutral. Skip the onion, garlic, any added salt, very minimal dairy added(if any). Either hand made whole wheat noodles, or maybe some handmade whole grain noodles, and some of those zuccini noodles or whatever(literally squash cut into noodle shapes), or spaghetti squash. In the sauce can be a small amount of meat for flavor(could be left out), pleeeenty of hot peppers and sweet peppers(both blended into the sauce, and chunks in it, broccoli and some other veggies. Honestly, this sounds good enough to eat ourselves rather than making a special batch for Freedom. We could always add in garlic and onion powder to our own dishes if we really think it needs it...

What do you guys think? Tomatoes are really, really healthful and a total favorite of Freedom's.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
I can relate to Freedom's zeal for red sauce and pasta! You've already cracked the code of preparing healthy baseline dishes, adding seasonings for human palates. Nearly infinite pasta varieties, ranging from whole wheat/grain to additives including chick peas, various beans, lentils, kale, etc. Might experiment with a simple pasta maker and add vegetable purees. (baby food works well)
