Parakeets training treets problem

Hello guys. I have two parakeets that i am trying to hand tame and train.
Do you guys have any idea on which foods should i use as treats knowing i already have a problem trying to get them started on anything else but seeds.
They dont know what vegetables and other foods are.

Birds that only have seed as as their food source are very slow in switching. Fundamentally, it a time issue. The longer you work at it the greater the likelihood of success.

Take a long look at what you are calling 'seed,' the term is over used and is confusing as to what is in fact being provided.

Look for a premium 'seed' mix for Parakeets that include a 'wide cross-section' of different types of seed and grains. Once you have this mixture in place look at adding small Bird pellets.

Regarding Veggies and other fresh food products are provided first thing in the morning without the the dry foods.

That all said, never place your bird in the position of starvation as this so very commonly leads to behavior issues.

With Parrots: 'Nothing happens quickly,' it all occurs at their speed.
