Hi,
I'm sure this has been come up many times, but do you give any supplement along with pellets, veggies/fruits? If so what would you recommend? TIA!

We only provide supplements when the blood chems suggest the need. A well founded diet that includes fresh Veggies, a healthy wide spectrum of seeds, grains, nuts, and high quality pellet as a supplement will provide everything a Parrot needs.

It is important to become knowledgeable regarding the natural range of your Parrot and the availability of natural dry foods and wet foods as a means of creating a healthy diet for your Parrot. After all, each species will have minor to major differences.

Remember that Eclectus require a highly specialized diet and knowing their specific diet needs will ensure the health of yours. Please search in the Eclectus Forum regarding diet and health needs.

I'm very wary about giving a supplement to my birds. A lot of seed mixes and pellets already have an added supplement. Giving a further supplement could cause an overdose which could be potentially fatal. Please make sure you check the pellet/seed mix that you use before giving a supplement.
