I swear, this bird will eat anything. Today, I'm grateful for that!

I made the decision to switch to Harrison's today. I had read about how difficult it is to convince birds to switch, so I mentally and emotionally prepared myself. I picked up a bag, read the instructions carefully, and took a deep breath before tentatively offering Homer a couple of pieces.

He was like, "oh, you want me to eat this? Cool, yeah no problem, Mom. Thanks for the treats!"

I will never complain again about him "tasting" anything and everything, even though it can be annoying. I read so many struggles about food and here my bird is super nonchalant about a food that is MUCH lower in sugars than what he was on previously. I feel so fortunate.

Obviously, I'll transition him responsibly, but to have him take the first bites so readily is a big win during a sad week (see my other threads for details).

That is so awesome! In some cases, it is not this easy. Good job, Homer!

My Meyers are picky. I too am trying to switch their diet to consist of more fresh veggies but they're not curious enough to devour the chop. So, I've been crushing their Roudybush pellets and sprinkling the crumbs on top. They're picking at the chop but not devouring yet. If I add some tiny fruit pieces in the veggies, they eat a little more.
