A while back, I messaged 9 pellet brands asking for free samples as an experiment to see which food brands would send some. Here are the results!
Companies who said yes:
Caitec "Oven Fresh Bites" - was very nice, sent an invoice via email, got back to me quickly, sent me 1 small bag of medium sized pellets, 1 small bag of Cran-Blueberry Baked Birdie Munchies, and 1 small bag of Veggie Delight Baked Birdie Munchies
Roudybush - took a long time to reply but sent me two retail-sized bags of food, 1 8oz bag of Daily Maintenance Crumbles, and 1 8oz bag of Daily Maintenance Mini (worth about $15 total)
Harrison’s - very nice, sent me 2 small baggies of high potency fine pellets
Lafeber's - was nice but took a long time to reply, apologized and thanked me for my patience and was EXTREMELY generous, sent 1 100z bag of cockatiel nutriberries, 1 10oz bag of sunny orchard cockatiel nutriberries, 1 10oz bag of cockatiel pellet-berries, 1 10oz bag of tropical fruit cockatiel nutriberries, 1 8oz bag of classic avicakes for small birds, and 16 small sample bags of various kinds of foods (worth about $50 total)
Companies who said no:
Goldenfeast - said no to samples in a very rude manner
Prettybird - explained that they can't do samples because they're such a small company
Companies who said other:
Hagen - never responded
Zupreem - responded quickly, and said that all of their pellets are basically samples since you can return them for a full refund (didn't send me anything)
Kaytee - sent me 2 coupons but no food
Overall, my favorite companies from this experiment and companies I for-sure will buy from again (based on the results of this experiment) include:
1. Lafeber's
2. Roudybush
3. Caitec
4. Harrison's
Do with this information what you will :09:
