Acid Citric for sproutings

I have bought the GSE for my sproutings but I noticed it's relatively expensive. I read that some people use lemon juice instead. The two things have acid citric in common, so I searched if acid citric has antimicrobial properties. It does and some people actually use the food-grade acid citric for sproutings.

Thoughts on this?

Yes, some do. I use neither! But I never store sprouts either!even for myself, I just rotate batches and eat them by the handful when I walk by!

hmmm it's not about storing, I thought it was a good thing to do when rinsing the seeds while germinating.

If there’s an issue with spoilage! Contrary to popular opinion, humility is low in central Florida!
But, yes, many swear by it! I still go by my nose! For the family, I’m a PIA! My sense of smell and taste drives them nuts! I can tell the difference in salt brands, and can tell you what soap you shower with!
