Hello 
I received a bird toy from my sister in law today. It's the ActiviToys basketball toy and it has a mirror for the back of the toy. I think this is a toy either my cockatiel or budgie would enjoy but I'm concerned about them coming into contact with a mirror. I've read a lot of bad things about mirrors and I've seen them play out with my sister in laws cockatiel. He was a really sweet bird until he became obsessed with the bird in the mirror.
I was thinking about taking a Sharpie and coloring over the mirror part but I'm concerned about my bird trying to eat the Sharpie and poisoning itself. :/ I can't think of any way to cover the mirror so I can use it though.
Does anyone have any past experiences with using this mirror and how to make it work so that your bird doesn't come into contact with a mirror?
