Rio (Yellow sided conure) sadly no longer with us
I see a thread holding it together so to trash pile I say! Also it looks like it has a load of holes in it which are prime for catching claws

Also the poor photo-shopped picture of the lovrbirds on a perch in it is a good chuckle

What Triggsy said! :) I don't trust it.
Plus... no nest-y type stuff for the Rb, who is already a hormone-laden rooster!!

Clark!!!! This is too funny! I just completed construction on my own Version of safer sleeping place!!!!! I still plan to find s safe natural Matt to put inside, and I'm going to hang it in the cage with more zip ties. I bought one of the fabric huts , not the fluffy ones, and deconstructed it! Inside were these plastic mats that I put back together with zip ties! I'm not crafty.....so excuse the poor job I did but you get the idea!!! I also took a fluffy one and sewed sturdy fabric to it to make a safer version for my rescue
quaker who had to have it.

All are rescues- had to leave their previous homes for 'reasons', are still in contact with them :)
Aren't those the same clips someone's bird got in trouble with a few weeks ago?

(sorry- I am terrible with names, I try ...and fail)

The zip ties? Or the metal clip in fabric one? I'm trying to be as safe as can!

Umbrella Cockatoo- 15? years old..I think?
I know everybody is talking safety, but hormones seem like a more insidious concern lol....definitely a nesting-type of tent.

My conure has had a tent for seven years, zero nesting, zero eggs, DNA female. My previous conure 17 years with a hut, only laid eggs once when I first got second conure. I don't want to start the great hut debate again. :) Fir those who want a safer option this is my work in progress. :)
