So after some time and many testings, its official that one of my parrot's favorite things to do is to chew and destroy some items. I was wondering if there were any recommendations? He doesn't like to destroy everything, so far he only does it to his own fallen feathers, the millet stem which he will dig to get to, paper sometimes, and the fruits I give him. He doesn't do it on harder things, like wires. Most chew toys I have seen are huge and made to chew the wood, but I doubt my bird would like it. Is there some kind of straw like rope that is safe for smaller birds?

A favourite in my house (conures and cockatiel) is the bird kabob, soft yucca wood that is very shreddable. Wesco Pet Original Bird Kabob Shreddable Bird Toy (3 Pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JCU5BMQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apu_EN7VBb9K47992. My cockatiel also really likes small balsa wood toys - the wood is softer than many of the other wood toys. Mine also like shredding toys made with dried palm leaves which are kind of stringy like this one Planet Pleasures Spiked Pinata Small 7" Natural Bird Toy https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002FP440/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apu_CQ7VBb724V25N
I hope these give some ideas :)

I feel like he would like the Pinata, I feel like he likes breaking stringy stuff down into more strings to chew on. Any tips on how to get your bird to realize that it is a toy he can use? I know normally they find out on their own cause curiosity, but that aint my birds strong suit.

I often start with toys out of the cage while my birds are sitting with me. You can point out parts of it, let them taste/test it, show them that it’s not scary, pretend you are having fun playing with it yourself. Then when it shows up in the cage they’ve already chewed it a bit and it’s familiar...this might help with one who doesn’t pick up on this stuff on their own :D
