Sammy is a really picky bird when it comes to his toys, and he doesnt really like destrying toys. The only ones he will shred are made from natural threads/fibers (like the Pineapple shredder toy).

I have however gotten him mildly interested in some medical grade silicone toys. They are targeted at disabled children/people who have a need to chew on things (like teethers for babies) and are pretty durable. There are also some other ones made from slightly harder plastic (still medical grade).

I just thought I'd share this tip.

I know normal silicone (food grade or worse) can be dangerous when heated, but I have not heard of any problems with non-heated medical grade silicone.

Interesting concept! Haven't seen such toys but seems promising. I have a water bottle used for jogging/hiking made from similar material. Appears durable and appealing for a parrot.
