I want to share a birb life hack, ever since Iā€™ve had birds my main struggle has been them destroying my tops

I have a lot of beads laying around, itā€™s part of my religion and culture but they never seem to be interested in them

Until I wore one as a necklace today and my birds sat on my shoulders... it has kept them entertained for an hour :D

Some of my shirt have got more holes in them than a piece of Swisse Cheese!!!

But....since the invention of the buttons its taken their aim away from my shirt fabric, onto my buttons!

My Scomo is a shocker for destroying shirt....loves a good ole' chew and his favourite thing to do with me is have a 'tug of war' with my collar

I purchased a bird toy necklace. It is probably the best toy Iā€™ve ever purchased for her. It had sola coins and balsa blocks and wooden beads and plastic toys-all of the sola and a lot of the balsa is gone, but she still loves to climb on it and chew it. Iā€™m trying to talk the person who sells them into making refill kits! Picture below-note the shredded wood on my shoulder!

I wear a denim jacket...always...when handling Archie. Metal buttons and grommets.

Chew away, my liege.

Iā€™m also one of those old farts with a pony tail, and he loves nuzzling into that.

I still donā€™t think itā€™s a great idea to introduce anything on your body which will encourage chewing. There are other places to engage in that activity.

When he goes for a metal button, it only lasts a few seconds, and he comes to the realization:

ā€œWell...time to move on. I canā€™t do any damage HERE!ā€
