Getting a parrotlet, which one?

Hey so I'm going to be getting a parrotlet hopefully this weekend or next

I have a couple choices though. There is a 2 month old male that will be available Tuesday, a 6 month old female, and. 10 month old pair. I can't decide which would be best for me. I want to get one (or the pair) that will be able to bond with me best. So I'm thinking the 6 or 2 month old would be better. What do u guys think? Let me know if u guys want to see pics

The younger parrotlets will probably be a better choice, I'm assuming they were handfed? If you are looking for a handtame pet I would stay away from the pair as they will most likely be bonded to eachother. Are they the parents to the younger parrotlets? There are always exceptions to the rule though. I have a proven pair of cockatiels that will step up and let you handle them when they aren't on eggs! Pictures are always fun to see if you want to post some!

Yeah that's why I want to go with the younger ones. They are all from different people. The youngest 2 month old was raised from its parents and partially handfed. The other one that is 6 months old a guy is selling because he said he doesn't really have enough time for her and that he used to hand feed her when he first got her. I think I'm just going to go with one of those. I'll post pics

I have a female Parrotlet. I got her when she was 8 weeks. She will be two in February. She is as fiesty as they come, but a doll at the same time. Males talk more, whereas females chatter. Males are definately louder then the females, but both are equally insistant when they are upset or want something. I love our lil P'let, but make no mistake they do not know their size and will take on a full grown man without hesitation. My plet is the instagator in the hate/hate relationship she has with my other bird, Rio - who is a Senegal, and 4 x larger then my Plet. Kiwi always starts it, so I have to be very careful when they are both out at the same time. I would go with either the younger male or female, rather than the pair. Any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

It depends on your preference, really. The male would be easier to work with because he is young. However, the female is / or has probably gone through her bratty stage, which is something they go through at about 4-6 months old. Male are easier to understand when it comes to talking. Females mimic and chatter mostly. Check out the videos on Youtube. Males can be more aggressive than females when sexually mature and may be insistant with their call. But they both are equally fiesty. So each have their pros and cons. With any bird, they are a lifelong commitment. I think that which ever you choose, you will be happy with your choice. Hold hem both and see how each one reacts to you.

I wish I could hold them both, but they are both 2 hours away and in different areas so I can't really go both places. I think I'm gonna go with the male though
