Thankyou I really like it a lot, I feel a love hate relationship to my hand being in the photo though XD On one 'hand' it gives the image perspective, on the other her beautiful tail is blocked partially.

i'd bet some birds stretching or doing bat birds would make some very lovely models too... the theme doesnt just include flight shots, yes? or is it only flight photos?

I believe it's just "wings", so stretching, eagle wings, anything that shows off those amazing limbs that make out birds such a incredible creatures. I hope lots of people post wing photos over the course of the month. Even if your bird is clipped a stretching photo can be just as beautiful as a flying photo.

Stretching wings, bat bird, ANY picture where the bird's open wings are visible are a "go".

Ok, I 'should' wait and try to get a really good pic this weekend, but this photo of Gilbert is funny because I was trying to get a good flying pic of him when he wasn't in the mood. The look on his face is like "hey lady, do you mind?? you keep wiggling your hand around and you are really starting to get on my nerves!" (on tv in the background is the news showing the Seaside boardwalk burning, hence all the smoke!)
