Ok I admit we have had some decent frosts. Cold enough the troughs froze over. But they make for fine days and it probably still doesn't get anywhere near as cold here as it does in your part of the world. Although at 10.30am our house is a fridge and we have the fire going haha. It's actually still really dry here, usually by this time of the year it's all rain and mud =)

when I take my Liam (goffin2) outside....he seems to stare at the sun the whole time he's out.....Is this normal?

My dear little Muta out on his first visit to the Park! He'd just finished staring down the giant Magpie and decided to come back to us and steal all our chips and gravy! (I was going to enter the picture of him getting a nice beak-full, but I can't find it anywhere!)

@Kinny: Before this I'd only seen your painting of Muta. You definitely did him justice! I've now gone back and found other pics you've posted of him. He was such a beautiful bird! And he looked like he was just full of personality.

@JaxAttack: Absolutely breathtaking shot! At first glance, (and even second!) Jax looked like a falcon or some other bird of prey! Sweet! And the background scenery? Wow. Most impressive.

oh boy, another tough month. Only a few days in, and already a string of beautiful birds in beautiful pictures....

That one of Jax on the beach is breathtaking. I love the way he's got his feet, and his wings curving up like that. It looks like he's just suspended there, posing for the shot.
