Just got back a bit ago from the airport. She seems to be no worse for the overnight delay. Came to us readily and is very friendly.

Not interested in food or water yet though I offered them as soon as we got here. She had leavings in the crate where she had been nibbling so she is probably not as hungry as I thought but will feel better once I see her eat, drink and poop.

I think she is prettier than her pictures gave her credit for and I couldn't be happier with her :)

I had her out on the playstand but thought maybe she would rather relax in the cage for awhile so I put her in there with her light on.

She seems to like the preening bunny I put in there already so that is good :)

Yay! So glad to hear that pixie is home and all is well. She is very pretty and looks so happy in her cage full of toys! Nice job dad. Can't wait to hear more about her once she's truly settled in.

Yay!! Welcome home, Pixie! Congrats new guardian! Can't wait for all the fun stories now :D

Tico is on my shoulder right now and I was pulling up her pictures to look and he starts swaying his head and doing this beak clicking thing. What's up with that? lol I have my computer hooked up to my 44" tv so maybe the big bird freaked him out? Or something..she's a little too young for you, masher.

Awh! She's precious. :) Congratulations! What breeder did you buy her from? Seems like they were very good about everything. ^_^

My breeder is amazing and I can't recommend him enough. The night she spent in Atlanta he talked to me at 1am to find out where she was and has been wonderful every step of this journey. He called yesterday to find out how she is doing and if we were still happy with her, asked about her poop and everything. He has told me repeatedly that he is always available 24/7 for life if we ever have any problems or questions and considering that he has kept to that after the sale was over says alot to me.

His name is Brian Douglas and his breeder title or whatever you call it is Micro-brood Aviary and Avian Locator.

I found him here BirdBreeders.com :: Micro Brood Aviary & Avian Locator - 436 S. Taylor, Oak Park, IL 60302
and he actually has dusky babies listed on there :). Just a pleasure to deal with.

My girl is healthy, well socialized, stepped up easily from the first time I saw her at the airport and you can just tell she has had a great start. I couldn't be happier :)
