Thanks all! And I think he is wise too.
But last night was awful. 03.00 Eloy having a panic attack in his gage. I'm so lucky to sleep in the next room with open doors and wake up easy.
I got up, and turn the lamp on, but he was so terrified so I have to get him out of the cage. After a short while he climb up om my shoulder and didn't want to leave.
So what to do more then stay with him as long as he wanted. (I'm a very weak person when it comes to protect and taking care of my animals.)
Finally I succeeded to get him back in the cage but I couldn't sleep anyway...
Today he is fine.
And he has been so loving to me all the morning. <3
Phenomenal photography! Of course the subject "Eloy" is a stunner.
So sorry to hear about his night terror. I never knew Pionus get those. Was he thrashing around? Squaking? Poor baby!! So glad you were right next door to hear him, and that you were able to calm him down.
He was flying in the cage and crashing into everything. He is still fine now, but I know that he don't want to go to sleep later, but I like to have him in the cage for night. (it feels like he is more safe their) So dear Eloy, you must!!
No I didn't knew that Pionus could have this night panics. My Brown-headed parrot and my Budgies had them, and that was something i didn't like to see again.
But I hope this was the first and last for Eloy.
