Magnificent Mel!

Tonight my pretty girl did something she has never done before; she started to chatter! It was rehearsed phrases but I wasn't able to decipher them with her squeaky gravelly voice, but it was a first!

It was the second "first" in the last week, as she has started repeating "scritches? You want scritches?" And rubbing her face, but only when someone else is getting the scritches...

. I've never heard of a female Pi who talks! That sounds adorable how she says "scritches, you want scritches?" and rubs her head how funny and cute.

She says quite a few things, but her voice is quite difficult to understand. But everything she says she says in context. Or sort of in context... She says "come here" and "step up" when she wants you to come pick her up, she says those two things and "whatcha doin?" When you leave her in a different room and she wants you. She also says "you want your breakfast?" When she wants food, and "good morning" when she feels you are keeping her up too late, or right after you turn on the light.

Thanks! Julie I forgot, Lady, my female Maxi (now living in an aviary in Hawaii, never to be harassed by humans again) also said "Hola" which she learned from some Amazons in the place she was a breeder before living with me. Her voice was much clearer than Mel's.
