I hope this is permissible, if not delete. A pionus member is trying to locate a blue head pionus as their family parrot. Their amazon passed recently, after doing much research this couple feels a pionus would be a good fit. Can anyone assist with a rescue, fledgling or rehome? Thank you.

California is a really big state. I-5, which stretches from the Mexican border to the Oregon state line is 796.4 miles. Giving us an idea where in CA your friend resides would be helpful.

Mickaboo bird rescue in SF had a blue last time i checked. Not sure if it will be a good fit for your friend, but it meets the requirement of being in CA. There are also several bird/pet expos coming up...try those

There is a White Capped Pionus on the Bay area craigslist that needs a home due to the people having too many kids and not enough time.

Finding a Pionus is so hard they are rare. You might find them on CL. Mickaboo has 2 maximilian pionus that have to be re-homed together. I want them but can't have them right now.

I have also found this one. in the Sac area. Yeah I really want a Pionus too and am always looking and waiting for the perfect one.
