Merlins been very good and as I've been sat here crying about the UK riots (and the wonderful acts of the cleanups) Merlin has been cleaning away my tears, although he was probably just curious as to what those odd things on mummys face was, it was still like a very nice gesture.

I love how their simple acts can cheer me up. :)

Mayden, my heart, thoughts and prayers go out to you all at the moment with what is happening over there.
Isnt it amazing that out little buddy birdys try and make us feel better? Do you think they are in tune with our emotions? has Merlin been trying to cheer you up with his antics?
Please stay strong.

Thanks, I'm personally quite away from it all, not near the city centers etc. &I'll hopefully be participating in the clean ups sometime this week when my m.e/cfs is a bit better. Still nice to hear support coming in from people around the world :) It's really saddening to hear and see it all, we're supposed to be one of the 'higher' countries, with good laws, good systems, a 'good' country, but these people are behaving like it's a third world country, stealing what they can 'to get by' when it's actually designer clothes or whatever.

Wonsy my budgie who passed away was crazily intune with me, if I was angry or upset, she'd come over snuggle and do loop de loops around my finger. Merlin is a little more... braindead about those things at the moment, but he is being less naughty and nippy today, so I think he's understanding that mummys not in the mood for nonsence!

So he's just sat next to me eating carrot and being good as gold. Peeking his head over the side of the laptop occassionally to see what all this tapping is about. :D

They know when we need them. I can't believe the riots have been going on so long. It's so scary. Keep safe.

I remember when Wonsy died, the 'guys' all fell silent and didn't even let out a single sound the entire night/day, they were absolute angels for me and I know it's because they knew what had happened. For those that think animals, especially birds don't feel or understand, are gravely mistaken!

It's horrible, manchesters preparing for another battering again tonight, stores closing early, letting workers leave, boarding up etc. I'm hoping this horrific rain will deter most of them or at least help with the fire tackling efforts. :(

My boyfriend however has somewhat been offered a job today, so that's a positive in all this darkness! His references just need to check out and voila, up and moving! :)

Its frightening when there is 'mob' violence, this kind of incident brings out the bad & the good in people. Your tears are from pride that people can rise above the rioting. I know on 9-11-01, I cried for the people who carried complete strangers from the buildings, the ones who gave walking shoes to the office workers who had to walk home & the people who were able to laugh when it seemed that the world was ending.

I know that Merlins are very sensitive to their mommies. Let him cheer you up. :)

I was holding onto the whole 'least no fatalities yet' but there has been and obviously it's just all horrific. I am proud to be British and there's a thing called 'Operation Cup of Tea' (How very brit!) and basically, people are going out helping the officers and people on the clean up missions by bringing them tea. :D (Note the riot shield as a tea tray!)
