well while i was cooking, nut was behind me makin little *oh i'm so cute an ohhh look at me chirps

well i had my back to her an was just whistling back an passin the ocassional glace at her, (she is banned from me when i am cooking, what that means is, if she flies on me, she gets put back onto her cage in kitchen :D and it often becomes a case of stir an return bird, add ingredients, tell bird off for tryin to steal some, return to cage etc)
anyway while i was puttin in the final stirs, and nut feelin in one of them, i will behave moods, i finally turned an she looked as if her neck had snapped, as she was doing such an exagerated head bow :p

Definitely a head scratch request, hope you took care of it. :p I know what you mean about cooking w/a bird, I'll peel a potato, move bird. Peel 1/2 & move bird, etc. They love to be around when we're doing anything. :)

My senegal parrot piper is about 5 years old now. I had to leave him at home when i went off to college and my parents keep him caged 24/7. Im desperately trying to find an apartment where he can have free rein of his own playground. But in the meantime he has turned into a very angry bird. He bites at the slightest provocation and makes it very clear that he blames me for this. However, biting and all, he'll still do anything to get his head scratched!

When Bob wants her head scratched she will grab my thumb nail and try to physically put on her neck. It feels like she is trying to twist my nail off when she does it.

My 'tiel will put her head under my hand, trying to get a scratch. If I don't, she'll nibble on my fingers. That's a great pose! You know, theycan do things like that because they have 17 bones in their necks. We have 7. That's why they can turn their heads completely around to see behind them.
