I am on several waiting lists for a cape baby. I can't believe I am so consumed (obssessed) by our unhatched baby that I have even had bird dreams!! :09:
planned parrothood.....hate the wait!

African Grey named Buddy and Marty
re-homed from rescues both are about 5 years old.
I know how you feel My Sammy (Blue and Gold Macaw) was hatched in October and I keep asking is he ready? And I all hear is not yet be patient. Guessing about 2 more weeks. Gosh its going to be a long 2 weeks. Good luck on your wait. Happy New Year.

I had wanted a Cape parrot for years but delayed going forward with it since it didn't seem to be the right time.
I had still looked around to find breeders around here and talked extensively with two of them.
Finally in November 2010 it seemed like it could become a reality and I thought I was ready to finally take the jump. Heard that one of the breeders had eggs in April 2011 and in August of that year, I finally brought mine home.
It's a waiting game for sure.
