this morning i was up early and videoed nut, mostly to test the phone

in the video, the language is so subtle, and there are times it can be missed, because of the mirror you can see the facial feathers, some times she will look at me with the same feather positioning, it can mean she is in play mode or a short warning glance

in this incident nut did not bite, she does not need to, but if i was to have continued, she would off bitten me, an in our early relationship she most certainly did :11:

Isn't it great that they do give warning signals. If we watch their body language, it can keep us out of a lot of trouble!

Blue Crown Conures: Tootsie and Rosco.
Senegal Parrot: Sidney.

Senegal Parrot: Kelly.
"Fly free, little ones. Love and miss you."
I've seen a few signs like that from Sidney. He has been a bit hormonal lately. And very stubborn so we have been having a few contests of will. "You will NOT chew up my shoe!"-"MY shoe!" type of things. He is learning my body language too when I mean business about protecting things from busy birdie beaks.

A funny thing is Sid was on my finger and I was holding him up near the screen so he could see the video. He was watching intently and I could tell he was starting to feel territorial. When Nut took off Sid lunged straight at the screen and banged his beak off of it. I think he recognized Nut's language as a kind of challenge. Though he is bird aggressive too and might have been reacting in kind.
