So my girl, through careless flying and rolling around, has managed over the past year to break every feather on the left side of her tail in half.

I was wondering if the best course of action is to pluck some feathers out so that new ones might grow, or if I should just wait for them to molt.

Normally I'd leave them alone, but she's no longer able to turn left mid-air very well, and I'm worried about her safety. I don't want to damage the follicle, but I don't want her flying into a wall either.

Any thoughts?

I wouldn't pluck the feathers, it only causes pain and hurts the trust your bird has for you. Just keep the rooms you have him in bird safe, throw a blanket over any sharp corners and take any potentially sharp/dangerous objects off the wall while he's out. After a while he should adapt and soon he'll have new tail feathers growing in.

What if you just clip the wings?? when she molts everything will grow back again...
