Well in 4 days things with Indy have changed a lot. Finally was able to get her out of her cage to deep clean it and swap out the old toys for new ones. She is getting a more balanced diet than just seeds, nuts and fruit. She has also stopped trying to draw blood at every turn which is great but now she wants something else.
I can't interact with her without her getting fresh. As soon as I approach the cage she starts clicking her beak. If I go to open it her eyes start pinning & she whistles. She then tries rubbing her beak on me possibly followed by regurgitating.
The worst has happened today after a few successful step ups. As soon as her foot goes up the wings go out & the dance is on. Putting her down then is hard. She gets a death grip with one foot & almost gets dragged back off her perch before she lets go.
How do I handle this? I can't just ignore her and my kids are too young to switch with me. Also she's being quarantined in my room since my kids can be overzealous.
