I just lost my young green cheek conure a few days ago, my little buddie left far too young. I've been starting some research for another bird in the new future. I've like what I've read about Jardines both in personality and size granted every bird is different. Problem is I can't seem to find any breeder that really has jardines that I can at least email and talk about them. I'm also nervous about getting a bird that I need shipped to me versus one I can visit first but I'm thinking that's the only route I'm going to be able to take. Any help would be great appreciated on a breeder and experience with having birds shipped to you.

Try African Queen Aviaries. Jean Pattison is well known and is considered an authority on African birds, and has been consulted for books and articles over the years. Website says she has both the lesser, and rarer greater Jardine's.
Shipping is absolutely fine. I've done it before several times. Breeders who ship should know what they're doing. Especially experienced breeders. I wouldn't even worry. It's been done for years and is a very common way of getting a bird from a breeder.
Birds are almost always shipped with Delta Airlines. They are the pet shipping specialists. The breeder will get your info when it's time. THEY will make all the airline arrangements for you. Easy. All you do is go to the pet cargo pick up area at your airport at the designated time, show ID and sign a paper, take your new bird home!

Awesome, much appreciated. I've also been greatly interested in getting a grey but I worry the full time job won't leave enough time for them. I read some people say its absolutely fine to work full time and others say you can't have one or at least a healthy one if you do work 5 days a week.

hahahahahaha yeah, but I always found Jean's prices to be a bit pricey for me. She's asking like $1500.00 for a CAG where I could buy one weaned for about $850.00-$1000.00.

Just curious -- how would it be better to have a Jardines than a Grey, regardless of one's work schedule? Don't all large parrots require basically the same amount of socialization and attention?
Most people that have parrots work. It isn't easy, necessarily, but it can be done if you're good with time management and establish a loose routine with your bird(s). I do think it's ideal for parrot owners who work full time to have more than one bird, though, since it's so unnatural for birds to be alone. Being in cages near each other provides them with some company.

I really do think that the Poicephalus are by nature generally more "forgiving" and easy going with human lifestyles than some other species.
