Jade does this weird thing where she opens up her beak like she's waiting to be feed or like shes yawning. Also, she makes a vibrating growling noise and acts like she's going to bite at times but doesn't actually bite. I'm wondering if anyone has ever seen this. It looks aggressive and I usually put her in her cage when she does it and tell her NO. Any thoughts? I've never seen a bird do this before without ripping some skin off.

I'm not exactly sure, but it sounds to me that you're getting the 'warning bite'. Birds that are feeling stressed or hormonal often do something like this. I wouldn't assume that it is an undisirable bhaviour yet, don't punish her for something you only think is bad. I would only respond to her behaviour if she actually does bite you.

Try the link below; it will give you an understanding on some of the odd ways parrots communicate, and what it means.
