Hi Everyone,
I hope I am on the correct forum. If not please don't hesitate to direct me elsewhere. I am anticipating the arrival of a beautiful and sweet Meyers Parrot. He/She was born April 24 and is being weaned currently at the breeders. This may seem a stupid question, but does the color of the cage matter to the bird. Since a lot of the feathers are grey, I didn't want to get a dark color cage, but I also don't want to spook it with a inappropriate color choice. Any advice would be appreciated. Sorry for such a silly question but I want everything to be a homey as possible for the big day. Thanks for any response.

Nope, color makes no difference whatsoever. One of my sennies is in a black cage and the other is in a sand colored cage.

Congrats on your new baby!

All of mine are white. To me it shows off the bird better, and doesn't show dust.. But that's just my opinion... Best of luck!

I personally prefer the look of that black with silver vein color powder coated cage. Either that or solid black. Black does show the white poop stains and over time it doesn't really come off, but then a white cage, you don't see it as easily so you might just miss cleaning certain spots. :)

Pros and cons of any color, it just comes down to personal preference for the human :)
