I'm agent Leopold. I'm the best profiler in the PBI (Parrot Bureau of Investigation).



I had a case last night. There was a kidnapping. One of Charlotte's walnuts was not in the cabinet where it was supposed to be.

I had my suspect. It was the Amazon, Goofy. He fits the profile, you see. Large bird, likes nuts, kinda shady character in general. And he has a criminal past.



So I started my investigation. There was some evidence that Goofy was seen last in the area near the walnut.



So I went to the scene of the crime and started looking.



And I was not disappointed. The walnut was safely recovered and put back where it belonged.

I appreciate a good pun, but I stink an making them. One of my closest friends is really good. Her PhD is in linguistics, and her original dissertation proposal on the mechanics of punning across various languages, which was rejected as "not academic enough", but published in a linguistics journal anyway, is quoted rather frequently in academic work and other people's dissertations since then. My oldest son has been heavily influenced by her and can come up with groaners regularly.

I did try to be cutesy. The theme of the picture story is based on what's playing on my computer in the background.

Recently Goofy and Charlotte have switched allegiances. Charlotte has been cranky with me but cuddly with MrC and Goofy has been super angry with MrC and quite friendly with me. So my oldest son says "Hey! It's a Parrot-dox!"

I'm currently on a Criminal Minds binge on Netflix (halfway through season five, so still a long way to go, though I do skip over some of the more disturbing episodes). I will try to be a bit more creative in coming up with more installments.
