Hi,
Need help. My brownhead smells slightly like a dairy barn when sitting on my shoulder. Not a bad smell, just milky. Has anyone noticed this or does my girl have some sort of bacterial infection.

Help appreciated!

Likely an infection. Please take her to an avian vet for gram stains/fecal smears. These are relatively cheap and show you any bacteria, yeast, or parasites in the digestive tract. Often these things can be handled with $10 in meds before they threaten the life of your baby and cost you hundreds or thousands in vet bills.

Thanks everyone. I will take her immediately. I do know that weird smells can indicate an infection, I just didn't know if it might be normal for her species like it is for me Pionus to smell like baby powder. Thanks for your help!
