I've dealt with birdie hormones for quite a few years now. First with my Blue Crown Conure Tootsie (who is still with me but too old to care any longer) and now I have it with Sidney, my Senegal. I adopted him from a rescue at about 5 years old in 2012. His hormonal times are usually not all that bad. He goes for my hand, I distract him, and we go back to birdie business as usual. But for some reason, his hormones this year went into major overdrive. And they are lasting longer and he is getting crazier than usual. He sees me in the morning and his beak starts waving and his wings droop. I try to leave the room and he zooms after me. I have a loose shirt on and he dives into it. Yeah, I know that is not good for keeping hormones low so I usually pop him back out unless I am around the other two birds because he might get aggressive. He is chewing on any piece of clothing I have on so I'm down to a few that I keep washing. If I put him in his home he will hang upside down rocking so hard that it rattles the bars and it is a big heavy cage. While in, if he hears the slightest noise or one of the conures squawks he will make his high pitched "SQUEEEP!" and split open my ears.

I'll get through it but when will it end?!! At the moment he is sitting on the end table next to me beak waving at my cup. Then he jumps to my shoulder and starts trying to regurgitate into my ear. Nice! Now jumps to the hands and starts doing the same at my fingers mid way through writing this. I snapped a picture which I attached.

Birds! Just gotta love them. But not the hormones!
