hi all i just joined and i,m going to be getting a free quaker the was this came about is a breeder friend of mine asked if i new how to trim beaks i said yes so she brought kiki over i have never seen such an over sized beak any way he just sat there in my hand while i did his beak he looked up at me and to my surprise he rubbed his newly trimed beak along my face as if saying thank you well her other breeding pair are on eggs and her son christopher said mom uncle al gets a free quaker i,m not there actual uncle but they call me that

Awwww, good luck. Be prepared for an adorably bossy little bird. Quakers are the bomb.

Quakers surely are a lot of fun & they can talk very well to.

I have to wonder why this birds beak is over grown, Quakers have such a strong beak. Is his diet balanced & does he have a heap of grooming perches to help keep his beak trimmed.

I actually saw a quaker @ the vets that had a liver disease, his beak was really grown out. It had a spoon shape.

i believe he does have a liver disease the previous owner rarely cleaned the cage when she rescued him it was a thin bird and the cage was 2 inches in filth my friend does feed him a good diet fruits veggies seed and has a variety of toys and various sizes in perches cuttle bone and cement perches as well
