I guess you don't really have much choice. Just make sure its a fortified sort with all the vitamins and minerals required (im guessing your not talking about wild bird mix lolol) ;) ? Perhaps a little less of the sugary foods like fruit while you wait for pellets and more veggies. Quakers are prone to fatty liver, so I would want to get more of the good stuff into him and less of the not so good.

I know fruit has an adverse affect on Yoshi's behaviour (think red cordial), and I am much better off offering fruit as special treats every so often.

I was told eating too much fruit is like eating lollies, and seed diets are like living on potato chips. If that helps? (I can relate to that explanation lol)

I would think that this would be ok...obviously not ideal, but hey is anything really ideal? LOL good luck and Im sure your lil birdy will be just fine! (I know my Rio would think she'd gone to heaven if this were to happen to her! ;))

I'm sure he'll be okay for a few days, I wouldn't over do it with the apples though. I have known plenty of birds that have lived for years on cheap parrot seed(mostly sunflower seeds and peanuts), and while I would never advocate this kind of diet and I'm sure these birds were not very healthy because of it, but the point I'm trying to make is that a few days on seeds isn't going to kill him, and I'm sure he will be more than happy about the splurge! :)
