My little angel Zazu has been a HUGE blessing to me and my kids they love her and she loves them YET i find that she doesnt love my husband that much lol.

When he gets too close to me she runs up to bit him and sometimes im playing with her and he is laying on the bed she goes and starts biting his ears.

Is it possible for a bird to be jealous or something because she doesnt bite anyone else....except my jewellery:rolleyes:

Zazu may see your husband as a rival for your affections. Try to include your husband in Zazu's day to day things like feeding, and play time. Also, hand your husband Zazu, so, she sees that he is an accepted member of your flock. By going from your hand to his. She trusts you as flock leader, and will follow your lead. I've used this tactic with birds that didn't accept my wife, with good results. And, birds love jewelry. Anything shiny. Anything hanging. BTW, a friend of mine has an African Grey named "Zazu".

I am having the same issue with my Puffers. She is extremely attached to me and hates Sulphiria(forum member). I would try handing Puffers to Sulphiria but before Puffers gets close enough to step up she has her beak open and leaning as far as she can to bite Sulphiria. In other words I can't let Puffers go from my hand to hers without a bite.

Its not just me though, its everyone. She wont let anyone get near her, even though the first few days she let everyone hold her. I cant even put food in her cage without a bite, and when Ronald isnt home, she squawks non stop!

Another thing to try is to take her to a place she hasn't been to before. Have your husband be the only familiar person there. Your quaker in that moment of strangeness will become a friend of your husband. Try a garage or a friend's house.

I agree with BillsBirds that your bird sees your husband as a rival. If you bird 'steps up' try handing her between yourself and your husband. Have your husband offer treats such as millet. That's a good way to make a friend.

Yoshi - my curious little quaker
My little man Yoshi is the same with my man.
If I'm not home he's ok and will interract with him etc but the minute I get home yoshi sees him as a threat and tries to attack him
We're working on it, but as my partner spent lots of time while yoshi was young teasing him I see it as a little of a lost cause.
